Day-to-day operations of benefits administrative system
L.L.Bean is currently recruiting for a Human Resources Systems Administrator in our Benefits Department. This new and highly desirable role will have responsibility for and ownership of day-to-day operations of the benefits administration system, including maintenance and ongoing development. Serving as technical subject matter expert, qualified candidates will identify and design system improvements and will be responsible for systems migration planning and implementation.
Major Responsibilities Include:
1. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Benefits administration system, including web-based user site. Ensure that system is maintained with accurate, up-to-date information, and that interfaces are working according to specifications.
2. Work closely with department leadership to fully maximize and enhance the administration system. Manage migration planning and future system enhancements.
3. Serve as the vendor manager for the system. Ensure consistent delivery of established service level agreements through active, ongoing management.
4. Conduct research and analysis regarding trends, patterns, and issues to identify opportunities and solve problems.
5. Responsible for optimizing system capabilities to enhance staff capabilities and productivity, maximize scalability, and meet end user needs.
6. Provide ongoing education/training to system users. Works closely with users to discuss and design strategies that serve to enhance usability and understanding of system.
Required skills and experience:
. Minimum of 2-3 years directly related experience in a Benefits department
. Prior benefits systems administration experience with a hosted system required
. Prior experience with Ceridian systems helpful, but not required
- Strong project management skills and abilities, both independently leading or as project manager
- Vendor management knowledge and skills
- Problem solving and analytical abilities, able to breakdown issues and develop practical solutions
- Excellent written communications skills
. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
- Training and education skills
